Alok Sharma, the Member of Parliament for Reading West, will be holding a public information meeting for patients, registered with Circuit Lane Surgery.
The meeting will be held at St Matthew’s Church, 205 Southcote Lane, Reading, RG30 3AX on Thursday 4 May 2017 at 7pm.
The session will provide patients with an opportunity to hear from OneMedical Group, which took over the provision of healthcare at the Surgery in September 2016, and representatives of the local Clinical Commissioning Group.
In January Alok met with OneMedical Group and the Berkshire West Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) to discuss a number of issues that local residents had raised with him regarding Circuit Lane Surgery.
The key issues discussed included lateness of patients receiving prescriptions and difficulties in booking appointments.
Attending the meeting on 4 May, along with Alok, will be Rachel Beverley-Stevenson, Chief Executive at OneMedical Group and Dr Cathy Winfield, Chief Officer of the Berkshire West CCG. The Chair of the Circuit Lane Surgery Patient Participation Group has also been invited to attend.
To assist with planning, those wishing to attend the meeting on Thursday 4 May at 7pm should email firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone Alok's office on 0118 941 3803.
Alok Sharma said: “I have held a number of public meetings already about Circuit Lane Surgery and am pleased that OneMedical Group and the CCG are attending on 4 May and will talk about the work being undertaken to address patient concerns. As at other meetings I have held, there will be an opportunity to put questions to the panel."
